Inspired by the bold illustrations made for the Soviet Space Program, our poster design features the VOSTOK spacecraft first launched into orbit in 1961. It was the first human spaceflight in history, with cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin aboard. We wanted to capture the spirit of mid-century space poster design by continuing to use modern sans-serif fonts and bright primary colours.
