Designed in the style of 1930's Art Deco travel posters, our illustration features the Volk's Electric Railway in Brighton and Hove. Opened in 1883, inventor Magnus Volk's Electric Railway is the 'world's oldest operating electric railway'.
We wanted the poster to look bold and convey a sense of speed, power and modernity - when the railway was opened it must have been considered futuristic and modern after all.
