Exclusive to AndMash, this poster design was illustrated by us through our love of mid-20th Century Soviet space program artwork. For their time, the posters were futuristic and communicated the idea of progress, this is what we wanted to capture with our artwork. A striking view of two Soyuz rockets launching through the stratosphere.The Soyuz is the workhorse of the space travel industry and has been used, with some modifications, since the 1960s. There is always one attached to the International Space Station like a 'lifeboat' which can be used for emergency travel back down to Earth!
Designed and built in the early 1930s, it is an elegant industrial building used formerly used for making Dubarry's perfume, a household name by the 40s. The facade features a mosaic which has been preserved along with the rest of the listed structure.
