Featuring the now-demolished Heygate Estate in Southwark, South London, this illustration captures one of the concrete slab blocks in derelict state with graffiti. The Heygate Estate was once home to more than 1000 people and only lasted from it's completion in the early 1970s until demolition in the early 2010s.Designed and built in the early 1930s, it is an elegant industrial building used formerly used for making Dubarry's perfume, a household name by the 40s. The facade features a mosaic which has been preserved along with the rest of the listed structure.
