A contemporary illustrated travel poster by AndMash. Featuring the famous Art Deco facade of the Dreamland cinema complex in Margate, Kent, UK at night time. When the building was designed, the tall 'fin' with the word 'DREAMLAND' ensured that the cinema could be seen from some distance along the shoreline.
On a recent trip to Margate, we took a photo of the building which we used as a basis for this artwork. It was a busy street scene with lots going on, we used a long exposure which captured light trails from a passing bus, which helps add some drama and movement to this illustration!
