With the appearance of a fortress, the New Street Signal Box was completed in 1965 and is one of the most distinctive pieces of concrete post-war infrastructure. It was built in a tricky location between the street and tracks, and consists of five stories to house the staff and equipment. The single most distinctive feature of the building is the triangular profile going all the way around the facade.
